This web site is dedicated to those who served in, supported and helped to maintain the missile sites of the 567th Strategic Missile Squadron. This Air Force unit was on 24-7-365 active duty from 1961 until 1965. The 567th SMS was in charge of nine SM-65 Atlas E missile bases deployed in locations all around Fairchild AFB in Spokane, Washington. These bases were a major nuclear deterent during the Cuban Missile Crisis. This site is meant to be a source of information related to the 567th SMS and is intended as a tribute to the hard work and sacrifices that were made in successfully carrying out a very difficult mission.
